(bl.a. feil flottørstand kan visstnok virke inn her).
I would look at the following;
1. Air seal between carbs and inlet, old o rings do not survive well with
new fuels, all rubber in petrol delivery should be checked. O rings were
a service item remember, so another good reason to change.
2. I read that the new thakeray washers are not as strong as the older ones, so again
tightness needs regular checking.
3. Newer rubber version with cups each side need to be 2mm gap only,
and being rubber might breakdown if modern fuel gets on them.
4. Fuel out of trumpets could be worn aluminium washers on the accelerator
pump jets, letting fuel pass the circuit into the venturi, which may not
get sucked through on low revs.
5. Floats not shutting may lead to fuel out the overflow hole,
on front face should be 8/15mm.
6. Leaking gasket on bottom cover.
7. Leaking top cover gasket.
8. Excess fuel pressure, carbs need flow, not pressure, I always run
a pressure regulator
